From application to your first evening.
Simple by design.
Takes 3 minutes. We ask about your interests, your vibe, what you're looking for. No wrong answers.
We read every application. As soon as we have something lined up that's your kind of evening, we'll send you the details.
Your first evening. Same group, same venue, something to do together. By week three, you'll have inside jokes.
We don't just throw people together. We think about who'd actually get along.
Every group is intentionally balanced:
Six weeks, one activity. Here's how a typical series plays out.
First session. You learn the basics, figure out the space, get your hands dirty. The instructor does the talking. You just show up and try.
You're getting into the rhythm. The technique starts clicking. Someone brings wine. The banter picks up between rounds.
You're actually getting good at this. The evening becomes the thing you look forward to all week. Someone suggests trying a new spot after.
Final session. You've made something, learned something, or at the very least had six really good evenings.
Re-enrol for the next series, try a completely different one, or just keep showing up to one-offs whenever something catches your eye.
That's the whole point. Everyone's in the same boat. Events are designed so you meet people naturally — no awkward icebreakers.
Nope. The Floor is about doing things, not swiping. If a friendship turns into something more, great — but that's not what we're designing for.
We review every application personally. Founding member spots are limited — as soon as we have something that's your kind of evening, we'll send you the details.
Curation. Every group is balanced by age, background, and energy. No random crowds, no 200-person events, no "networking." Just small groups doing things together.
You can, but you don't need to. That's the point. Most people come alone and leave with new people to text.
Think: dinner party energy, not networking event energy. Everyone's there because they want to be, not because they're working the room.
Typically 12–16 for series, 10–20 for one-offs, 8–10 for weekends. Small enough to know everyone's name.
Life happens. Missing a session or two is fine. We just ask that you're generally committed to showing up.
We're finalising pricing for founding members. Apply now and you'll be the first to know.
No. About half our interest comes from internationals, half from people born here. The only thing everyone has in common is they want more from their evenings.
Rare, but it happens. Talk to us and we'll find you a better fit next season.
Different venues across Amsterdam. We partner with restaurants, studios, galleries, and outdoor spaces. No fixed clubhouse — the city is the venue.
